Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic and physically demanding style of yoga. It follows a specific sequence of poses, synchronized with breath and movement. The practice begins with Sun Salutations to warm up the body and create heat. Then, practitioners move through a series of standing, seated, and closing poses. Each pose is linked together with vinyasas, or flowing movements. Ashtanga Yoga emphasizes breath control, bandha activation, and drishti (gaze) to cultivate focus and concentration. Traditionally, it is taught in the Mysore style, where students practice at their own pace with individualized guidance from a teacher.
